Today, a group of students from MSMS participated in a FREE dental program that was coordinated by Keys AHEC and the Rotary Club. A group of Monroe County licensed dentists & dental hygienists volunteered their time to give these students a preventative dental service & educational items. A big thank you to the organizations for coordinating this important service for children in need, and to the local dentists & dental hygienists for volunteering their professional time.
Upon his own free will, one MSMS student took the hand of a younger MSMS student who was very anxious and frightened and held his hand in order to help calm the nerves while treatment was received. We are so proud of our students when they show kindness and empathy to others.
