Lead Guide: Early Secondary
We are accepting applications for a Lead Guide to teach Middle Grades Math and Middle Grades Science for our Early Secondary class (7th & 8th grades, combined).
Requirements of the Position
As a Montessori public charter school, our instructional staff must meet eligibility standards for the position. Montessori teaching credential, as well as a Florida Educator’s Certificate in Middle Grades Math and Middle Grades Science, are requirements of the position.
Instruction in the Early Secondary classroom requires subject-area specialization, which supports a sharing of the instructional responsibilities among two lead guides.

Prior experience leading inquisitive students in a Montessori environment is preferred. Above all, respect for self, others, and the environment are essential qualities to function effectively on our team.
The position begins 5 August 2019 with a pre-planning week, and students begin with a staggered start. Our Primary and Elementary classrooms are staffed with an assistant as well as a lead guide, and our typical class size is 24 students.
Placement on the salary schedule shall be based on verified years of teaching experience in the field. The base salary for beginning level Instructional Staff is $42,000. Advanced degrees and Montessori credentials receive supplemental compensation.
