KWMCS Blood Drive

Our first blood drive of the school year will take place this Thursday, September 1st.Hosting regular blood drives benefits our community and KWMCS as well; OneBlood gives our school $10 for each blood donor! As an incentive for donors, OneBlood will have a Fandango movie voucher for everyone who donates, and KWMCS families who donate blood during our event will also earn two service hour points – be sure to sign up today! This is a link for anyone who wants to skip a line and book the online appointment (not required, but strongly recommended for those with busy schedules):

Labor Day Holiday

KWMCS will be closed next Monday for the Labor Day holiday.  Classes will resume Tuesday, September 6th.

After School Enrichment

Our special after school enrichment classes will begin with Capoeira on Tuesday!  Students will join Ms. Zurima to learn about this form of South American Martial Arts that incorporates music and dance. Capoeira will take place every-other Tuesday throughout the school year.

Ms. Gabriela will share her passion for treading lightly on our Earth with interested students as we welcome back our BlueGreen Ecology Club on alternating* Tuesdays this school year.

     *BlueGreen will alternate with Capoeira.

KWMCS students who love to move to music should plan to participate in Zumba with Ms. Zurima on Thursdays!

Our own Board Member and parent Amy Bradshaw will continue leading Running Club workouts on Fridays with interested students (as well as their parents) on getting prepared for our upcoming 5K!

In addition to Running Club, Ms. Zurima is hosting a young ladies’ group on Fridays.  Girl Talk is geared for KWMCS students in their 7th & 8th grade year.

**The regular cost for After School Care applies to all clubs, but there is no additional cost for our After School clubs.  Students do need to register, however, so that we can adequately prepare. I will post registration links for families before Friday.
