Lower Elementary

Our Lower Elementary program provides a dynamic and authentic Montessori learning environment for students in grades 1 through 3. In this multi-age community, children build on the strong foundation developed in the Primary years, expanding their skills in literacy, mathematics, science, cultural studies, and the arts.

Led by dual-certified teachers—trained in Montessori education and Florida State teaching standards—students benefit from an approach that bridges the depth and individuality of Montessori learning with the expectations of Florida’s academic benchmarks. This ensures that children not only meet but often exceed grade-level standards while developing a lifelong love of learning.

Students engage in extended, uninterrupted work cycles using specialized Montessori materials that promote precision, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The learning environment encourages independence while fostering meaningful collaboration, allowing students to develop leadership skills, empathy, and a sense of responsibility for the classroom community.

With the guidance of the Lead Guide and the support of a classroom assistant, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning journey—balancing academic rigor with the creativity, curiosity, and joy that define authentic Montessori education.
