Hello May Sands Montessori Families & Friends!

We hope that everyone had an enjoyable Winter Break! As we look forward to welcoming students tomorrow (1/4/22), please review the health and safety guidelines that all Monroe County Schools continue to follow regarding COVID-19.

https://www.keysschools.com/cms/lib/FL02202360/Centricity/Domain/2990/MCSD%20STUDENT%20Covid-19%20Quarantine%20Guidlines%20092321.pdf

It is recommended that all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, wear a facial covering over the nose and mouth when around others and especially while indoors.
Families who prefer to have their child continue wearing a facial covering over the nose and mouth while indoors and within close proximity to others should send a message to their child’s teacher so that we can honor their preference.
Those families who have already completed an opt-out form earlier this school year DO NOT need to complete a new form; we have previous forms on file.
Families that wish to opt their child out of facial coverings while at school should complete an opt-out form, which is accessible via this link: Student Mask Facial Covering Opt-Out Form.

General Reminders

Please remember to have your child bring a reusable water bottle to school, daily!

Closed-toe shoes are the preferred daily footwear (and required for field trips).

Please notify our office if your child will be absent from school. We even have a quick link at the top of our website to make it easy for you: Report an Absence.

The car line drop-off is an active zone. Please do not park or leave your vehicle unattended in the car line.

Thank you for reading news updates from May Sands Montessori School. We appreciate your involvement and support!

Wishing everyone continued health and peace,

Lynn
