Charter Board Service

There are two vacancies on our school’s charter board; we are still seeking a community member, and a parent seat has recently become available.  While our charter board appoints community members and parent members for unexpired terms, they need candidates.  The term for the open parent seat expires May 2019. If you are interested in serving on our charter board for this open seat, please reply to this message by noon on Friday (2/16). The charter board will vote to fill the open seats at their next meeting (2/21 @ 5:00).

Eligibility Information Sharing

We have an opportunity to help families in need of support with field trip and after school care costs, through the national school meals program. Parent permission is required in order for me to have a list of those families who qualify for free/reduced school meals, as it is confidential information.  The district’s foodservice director has provided a form for parents to grant permission, if signed (attached).  If you would like consideration of support with field trip and after school care costs, please sign and return the form to me at your earliest convenience.

Spell-a-Thon/Shape-a-Thon Update

Students will have their tests administered this Friday; thanks for helping your student study, in advance of the test.  Collection of sponsor donations can begin Friday as soon as your student shares their test results.  All donations must be returned by 2/20 so that the Fundraising Committee can determine the top earners per class. We will have a school-wide ice cream social during the afternoon of Friday, 23 February to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments.

Great Gala Update

The Fundraising Committee will meet tomorrow morning (2/14) to review the list of silent auction donations.  The committee is seeking donations of auction items from any families who have a business or know someone who does.  Questions? Please contact our chairwoman Jenn Stefanacci: [email protected]

Students have ten raffle tickets, each, to sell by March 2nd. The suggested donation per ticket is $10, and there are three chances to win one of three prizes (see ticket for descriptions).  We have more raffle tickets for those families wishing to sell more – each pack of ten tickets sold is worth one fundraising service hour!
