Upper Elementary

Our Upper Elementary program offers an engaging, authentic Montessori learning environment for students in grades 4 through 6. Building on the independence, curiosity, and foundational skills developed in earlier years, students are guided to think critically, explore deeply, and take greater responsibility for their learning.

Led by dual-certified teachers—trained in Montessori education and Florida State teaching standards—the program seamlessly integrates Montessori’s holistic, hands-on approach with the rigor of Florida’s academic benchmarks. Students work with advanced Montessori materials, participate in research-based projects, and apply their knowledge through real-world connections, ensuring they meet and exceed grade-level expectations.

The multi-age classroom fosters collaboration and mentorship, with older students modeling leadership and younger students rising to new challenges. Extended, uninterrupted work cycles give students the time to engage meaningfully with complex concepts, develop strong study habits, and cultivate intellectual curiosity.

Through individualized guidance from their Lead Guide and the support of a classroom assistant, students leave Upper Elementary prepared for the academic, social, and personal responsibilities of adolescence—confident, capable, and ready to make a positive impact in their community.
