Student-led Fundraising Opportunities

One of the much-anticipated features of our school’s Upper Elementary and Early Secondary programs is the participation of our students in overnight educational field trips. This year our Fundraising Committee built in specific events for student-led fundraising, to help defray the cost of these trips. Friday Car-Line Coffee sales are open and available for parent/student participation, with a week’s advance notice to Ms. Tonia in our office. Also, students in our Upper Elementary and Early Secondary programs and their families are invited to participate in the next two Walk on White gallery open house events (11/17, 12/15) from 5-8 p.m. at Stone Soup Gallery.  Any student who participates in these events will benefit from the funds raised; onsite participation is necessary.  Baked goods and holiday ornaments should be brought to Stone Soup Gallery by 4:30 on Thursday.  This is the link to the first of two Walk on White fundraising events @ Stone Soup Gallery on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/154293975038773/

Holiday Bazaar & Recycled Reads Book Fair – Last Call

The Holiday Bazaar event committee is still seeking gently used books for the book fair;  students will receive ticket credits for book donations that may be used for a book exchange during the Saturday event. If your child cannot attend the event, we will make arrangements for them to use their tickets during recess.  The committee is also still in need of support for the volunteer opportunities – help us make this community shopping event a success: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f45a8ae2aabfc1-holiday1 Families may also contact event coordinator Lynne Ragusea: 305.394.7511 [email protected]

We are excited to announce Meg Henry Photography will be at the Bazaar offering professional, hand-edited images of your kiddos for order. Images will be designed into unique art pieces and gifts perfect for holiday sharing. All ornament & card orders placed will benefit the KWMCS. Your beautiful art will be beautifully packaged and delivered the week of December 5th.  For styling suggestions and a peek at the theme, please check out the webpage created for our event at http://www.meghenryphotography.com/KWMCS-holiday-bazaar.

School Name Dedication Ceremony

Please join us this Friday at our weekly flag raising ceremony, as we will celebrate the re-branding of our school with a dedication ceremony.  Our school is proud to be a part of the Monroe County School District, and with this ceremony we dedicate our school to honor the work of two notable women who valued education.
