Mr. Glenn Grizzard will be our first fully-credentialed Montessori lead guide for the Blue Tang Class! Mr. Glenn has 14 years’ experience as a Montessori Adolescent lead guide and two years’ experience as a teacher for students who are identified as gifted.
Early Secondary Guide, Math & Science
Our Early Secondary students will see a familiar face in the 2019-2020 school year; Mrs. Brooke is transitioning from her previous position as a classroom assistant in the Sea Star Class and will use her experience and educational background as our Lead Guide for Math & Science in the Blue Tang Class.
*Families of Early Secondary students (grades 7 & 8) have an online survey to complete, which will help us project enrollment. Thanks for completing the survey by 31 July, before 5:00 as this information will be shared at our Charter Board’s monthly meeting.
Upper Elementary Guide – Sea Star Class
Please welcome Ms. Kate Barrow to our school community! Ms. Kate has ten years’ of Montessori experience as an Upper Elementary program level Lead Guide (formerly in St. Maarten) and holds a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education from Mercy College in New York. Ms. Kate will join fellow Lead Guide Mrs. Sandy (Reef Gecko Classroom) who recently completed her Montessori training at Maitland Montessori School.
Ms. Katie Transitions to the Lower Elementary Program
Our Lower Elementary program will have two Lead Guides who possess the complete Elementary I & II training credential (ages 6-12)! Ms. Katie and Ms. Kristin will, each, lead students in our two Lower Elementary classrooms.
Physical & Health Education Guide, All Program Levels
Mr. Jeff Gage will share his passion for the environment, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle with students in all program levels. Each class will have three experiences a week for physical, social, and emotional development. Mr. Jeff has 14 years’ experience as a professional educator; additionally he has been an Outdoor Education Teacher and was a Park Ranger at two state parks in the Florida Keys. His education includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Phys. Ed. and his Master of Science in Educational Administration. His greatest life achievement was raising his 3 children to the fine adults they are today.
Teacher of Personal Development & Intervention Support, All Program Levels
Mrs. Laura Hulec holds a Master of Arts in Mild/Moderate Educational Needs, and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Ms. Laura will offer support to students in developing their executive function skills.
Seeking Primary Teacher
We are presently advertising for a lead guide in our primary (Kindergarten) program, as Mrs. Suzanne recently decided to return to private Montessori education.
