As a courtesy to our classroom communities, students shall not be released within the final 30 minutes of the school day except in case of an emergency.
Our school’s attendance policy sets the expectation for regular attendance to offer the best opportunity for your child’s academic success, and we appreciate your support. We’ve recently enabled a notification feature that will call families when their child is absent from school, which is especially helpful for those students who travel to school independently.
A 2018 study of student absenteeism by the Economic Policy Institute confirms prior research that “As students miss school more frequently, their performance worsens (p. 5).”
