This is a friendly reminder that there will be a noon dismissal for all students tomorrow, Wednesday, 12 October, so that our guides can meet with parents to review student progress.  We will have noon dismissal, again, on 19 and 26 October.

Vote on School Lease Postponed

Our school’s lease with our sponsor, Monroe County School District, was pulled from the agenda for tonight’s school board meeting. The Board and administration of the school look forward to working with district staff to draft a fair lease that includes our prior leased space, at the site of the 400 building at May Sands School complex. Many thanks for the families who were able to attend the meeting, and special thanks to Brian Bennett and Owen Trepanier for speaking to the school board.

Thanks to our Volunteers

The Fundraising Committee would like to extend a big thank you to all of the families who helped cheer on participants of last Saturday’s SoMo Marathon and Sunday’s 5/10K races! Our vibrant volunteers helped make these events successful, and we will earn a contribution to our school for the support!

Impact Aid Surveys

Your student will receive an Impact Aid form tomorrow, which will require a bit of extra attention to complete it, properly.  I have posted the directions as well as the highlighted samples on our Family Resources page:, in an effort to help you with this process. The completed forms are due back to school on 26 October.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We are doing our best to build earth-healthy habits at school, and families can partner with us by ensuring your student brings a reusable water bottle to school, daily. Packing utensils and a reusable napkin with your student’s lunch helps cut down on plastic & paper waste.

Monster Mash

What’s your monster persona: ghoulish or glittery?  The Monster Mash school family dance party takes place next Thursday, 20 October from 6-8 p.m. at our outdoor play/lunch area.  Be sure to check out the potluck sign up list for our upcoming school family party:
